Memorial Day Fun
We started off our Memorial Day weekend in the mountains, and Mommy made the mistake of forgetting her camera!! It was lots of fun though - Wells played with his friend Mason and there was a retirement party for Poppy. Caroline got to meet lots of family and friends too.
Back in Charlotte, Wells spent time with GG at MPCC and then wrapped up the afternoon with Mommy & Daddy at the pool:
They had bouncy castles and slides
Wells jumping to Daddy in the big pool
Little fish
Splashing around
Our sweet girl always along for the ride

Pool Party!
We wrapped up Wells' third birthday celebrations yesterday with his alligator themed pool party. He had such a great time!
Hooray! His pool party is finally here. I think he has asked me every day since May 1st if today was the day...
The setup:
Drinks:
Mommy & Daddy with the birthday boy
Caroline in her bathing suit
Daddy & Aunt Laurel
GG and Wells showing me their pool toys
Big pool with Carson
The cute Hardin family
The always adorable White twins
Charlie & his daddy
The Simmons boys
Reese & Liam
Courtney & baby Bridget
The Rogers on Caroline duty
GG & Aunt Ann with Caroline
Wells & Granddaddy
Cousin Kim
I have no idea how many cupcakes, cookie pops, and alligator cookies Wells actually consumed over the course of the day. But he was so happy that his Uncle Beau decided to join the fun and also go for the "icing beard" look.

Party On...
Wells had his third birthday party at school on Monday.
Here he is with his lunch bunch
He was SO excited that his Daddy came
Reluctantly wearing the birthday hat with three candles
Enjoying #3 cookies
Then today we celebrated his teachers' summer birthdays. Wells brought Miss Carrie and Miss Dianne pretty pink peonies. The class sang happy birthday and performed their favorite dances (this is Wells doing a fast version of Jump Up & Down).

How Could I Miss This?
I want Wells & Caroline to be able to look back at this one day...and sometimes I feel like I am missing some of the everyday activities in exchange for fun posts about outings and events. So today I realized I had not one post dedicated to W's favorite daily playtime activity: TRAINS. He is obsessed - he knows the name of every single Thomas and Chuggington train (as do I now), he loves building extensive track systems on the floor, and he contantly is talking about getting more trains!
He shares the love of trains with next door neighbor Carter. Here they are showing me their favorite trains. They have their own train lingo and it cracks me up to listen to them when they are playing. They talk about what they need to pull in their "tray-wers", which ones are the fastest, what they are going to do when they stop at the station, etc.
Here is an extensive track set up that Wells built. I am often very impressed! He is pretty proud here too. Note that this activity has completely replaced naptime. I put him in his room in the afternoon to take a nap and he says, "No! I not tired. I will play trains quietly."
