Trick or Treat!

This afternoon we tried to stop by Maryland Ave (Aunt Ann & Uncle Pat's street) for our first trick or treat stop and a visit to their street party.  W went into full-on melt down mode (possibly the result of the massive amounts of sugar he's been consuming ?!?) and we had to take a time out from the fun.

Luckily he got a second wind (and an attitude adjustment) and we were able to go to the Simmons' for dinner before before trick or treating.

Sweet C - ready for Halloween!  I just don't think I could love her more.

First house, and guess what the treat was??  An apple.  Wells was seriously excited - it was the very first thing he ate when we got home.

Party, Party, Party

Whew!  Mommy is tired from all the Halloween fun.  It's been an intense week.

I managed to get a few parties on camera but I don't think anything could really capture the combination of sheer exhaustion and sugar rush we are experiencing over here.

Wells & friend Bruton at their school party

Story time ("Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate..."  They all knew the words but Wells does not seem so interested here).

We also had our 4th annual Halloween block party on Pinehurst Place and had so much fun!

One of the many treat tables.  This one was definitely Wells' favorite with the cake pops.

Pink Poodle & Friends

Who was I kidding??  Did I actually think I was going to make it through Halloween with my sweet baby girl wearing a "superhero assistant" costume?!?  Not a chance.  So earlier this week, I went out and purchased this little number for her:

Caroline, the perfect pink poodle

Cute C loves to dress up.

Her playgroup met yesterday (L to R):  Lila, Laura Gray, Addison, Virginia, Worth, Weldon, Francie, Caroline, and Quillen

A few of the girls (Virginia, Lila, and C)

She loves playing with friends and recognizes people her own size (Pacifiers are by far the hottest commodities at these types of things.  You put your paci down and it's inevitably going to be snatched up a by a friend).

Always smiling

Our hostess, Francie, exhausted from all the fun.

CCK Costume Parade

Wells had his costume parade at school today.  All of the three year old classes lined up with their teachers and paraded around the circle showing off their Halloween costumes!

Superheros unite!  Superheros are apparently a popular costume choice for 3 year old boys.

Halloween Playgroup

It's Halloween week!  So much fun for these two:

Wells requested to be a superhero this year.  What type of superhero?  Not Superman, Batman, Spiderman, etc.  He beats to his own drum and wants to be his own superhero, of course.  He wanted a cape with HIS name on it.  He also requested his sweet sister be his "assistant."

Fall Festival & Pumpkin Picking

We went to the mountains this weekend for the HMCC fall festival and pumpkin picking with family!

At the Fall Festival - totally cheating at the balloon darts...

...and ring toss.

Hayride with Poppy & Daddy!

Driving the tractor - this little guy went on 3 hayrides in 48 hours, but I think this one was his favorite because he got to "stay up late" (9pm!).

Saturday we went pumpkin picking

W picked out perfect, pretty pumpkins for cousin Kim, and the ugliest  possible one for himself - he loves an underdog, I guess...

Kim, W, Keke, & Poppy

And we found this caterpillar - Wells loved examining this fuzzy creature.

Caroline was actually there with us (although she didn't make the hayrides or pumpkin patch due to early bedtime/nap schedule):

But she & Mommy got out to enjoy the pretty leaves

And in my eyes, she just couldn't be any cuter here

I love this picutre - she's not looking at the camera, but I know who who she IS looking at (only her Daddy could illicit this sweet look).
