Borderline Nice

Caroline just does not like Santa this year.

She's just not having it.

Sweet Wells is so concerned. Between her very opinionated attitude, not sharing at school (according to wells), and worst of all, not bring nice to Santa...he really thinks she could be the child who gets coal in her stocking.

But never. Not this angel. I've assured him she's def on the nice list. Or at least nice enough to get presents.

Letter to Santa

Bah Humbug

Someone is still not a fan of Santa. She better watch out - Wells is REAL worried she's on the naughty list (doesn't help her case that she told this Santa to "go away")

O Christmas Tree

I'm behind. I love this time of year. Just haven't had a ton of time to post.

Chasing each other through the tree lot:

I will get a flocked tree one year...

But still pretty happy with the finished product:

Major thanks to my sweet dad - who had the patience to help me with 1000+ temperamental lights.

SibGiving

Matt's whole sibling crew (minus one who just had baby) plus significant others all got together for a Spanish theme SibGiving:

Obsessed with this paella (and Beau's wine tastings)

Also loving these cute cousins:

And Wells in the Thanksgiving Program:

I love this CCK tradition:  Two little Indians hunt in the forest; two little Pilgrims fish in the ocean on Thanksgiving day...

The Lord is mine and I am His. His banner over me is love ❤

We were so proud of our little pilgrim.

Stitches

Sweet Wells had a spill on Monday. The details are a little fuzzy. I was inside and can't attest - but a friend said Wells was hanging from the rafters of the playhouse (a la monkey bars style) and fell and hit his head on the table.  Clearly not W's version of the story but details not important at this point...

All I know is that I am thankful. Beyond thankful for several things. 1) his friend came and immediately told me W hit his head and was covered in blood 2) I saw it and right away knew it was fixable - but likely required stitches 3) Matt was home working and could help me 4) I raced over to Clt Peds and his dr was still there and agreed to see us after hours and do the stitches in his office.

All things considered, a very lucky series of events.

My poor little guy was so brave.

Mom almost fainted but made it through.

One well deserved happy meal.

Stitches come out Sun. All mom can take. Please let's stay accident-free for a while!!
