Back to School

This coming week we are getting into back to school mode - meeting teachers & popsicle playdates with new classmates. 

Today we went to the "blessing of the backpack" service at Christ Church

I can't believe Caroline is going to 'school'!

Chatterbox

Caroline has been talking up a storm.  She wobbles around the house with her cute little walk and talks the whole time (although "We" and "All-moe" - see below - are clear standouts/definite favorites).   She also loves to steal my phone and pretend to talk to people.  Here are the newest additions to her vocab:

Wells = "we"
Elmo = "All-moe!!"
Rosa = "sa"
Cooper = "boo - purr"
Yes = "si" or "ahh- ha"
Train = "choo choo"
Cracker = "cack - er"
Please = "peas"
Thank you = "tank you"
Night night = "nigh nigh"

All this in addition to Mommy, Daddy and most grandparent names.  She's the sweetest thing and such a joy to be around.  I could listen to her talk all day :)

Couldn't Wait to Squeeze You

We had a great weekend away at the beach (thank you so much M+D)!

And our sweet little ones were in excellent care between GG, Aunt Ann & Rosa.

But I could not wait to get back to squeeze these perfect little faces:

Wells' World

Here's what's been going on in the wonderful world of Wells this week.

He went to Camp Ladybug, a neighborhood camp that he enjoyed with friends:

They had a trampoline there (his fave), watched some Disney movies, and he loved the water days

He won the medal on Monday for best behavior at camp - MUCH to his mom's surprise

He also got some new shoes on Friday that he picked out all by himself.  Intense.

Playdate with Will yesterday - sprayground + Chick Fil A.

And church today with his sister (he's trying to show me a bug he f0und that he wants to put on her head - nice!).

And I don't have a standalone pic, only videos, but he learned to dive into the pool this week with GG!  Go Wells!

Shoe Shopping

Walking lends itself to a new (and oh so wondeful) necessity:  SHOES.

Caroline & I went shoe shopping for back to school (or in her case, going to preschool for the first time) shoes:

She loved them, wanted to wear them out of the store, and kept staring at them in her carseat!

Slipping Away

I feel like summer is slipping away.  We have been trying to keep cool and enjoy the remaining days with fun and friends.
