Bittersweet

We are packing things up over here.  About to make a short move across town - a house we are excited about, but I would be remiss in not mentioning the sadness we have about leaving 3226 Pinehurst Place.

Our first house.  We've been through an addition here, and brought both of our kids home to this sweet house.

Even more than the house itself, this has become our home because of the people who surround us.  They've become some of our dearest friends, and spent countless birthdays, happy hours, playdates, and dinners (and a few late nights) with us.  Our children run from yard to yard and and ride bikes and scooters together almost every afternoon.

It's a special place and it will never be replaced. 

We are so excited about the next chapter in our lives but could not be more grateful for this street and the friends we've made.

SNOW

We've had the perfect amount of snow here in the QC.  Just a few big, pretty flakes and enough of a layer of white to be nice but not a problem.

The first snow of 2013 fell on Caroline's birthday:

Happy 2

Caroline, you are adorable.  You are made up of a little bit of trouble and a lot of sweet.  You bring joy and laughter to our lives every day.

You dance to Dora and love to sing and twirl.  Your favorite hobby is to carry around purses/bags and pretend as if you are going somewhere (only to say "I love you" and you'll be "right back" 100 times before acting like you are going to walk out the door).

Your brother loves you so much, and he is currently ignoring the fact that you hit him and pull his hair when you don't get your way. We'll see how long that lasts...

We all love your hugs.  You snuggle and smile your way through the day.  Your teachers and GG have learned that there's no other place you are willing to accept aside from their laps. 

You are decisive in what you like, and I love that about you. 

You love sweets and wake up every day asking for CANDY (it's a Gordon trait and you get it honestly). 

You wake up grumpy, but your non-early bird mom has finally learned to get up before you to get settled so that I can enjoy those first 30 minutes of your day with you.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing you with our family and knowing that you complete us :)

C and I went today to get pedicures.  A first time treat for her second birthday.
